Mr. Robert R. Cugliari, 54, of Southington, unexpectedly entered into the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, December 27, 2020, shortly after arrival at Bradley Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of RoseMarie (Cavallo) Cugliari.
Robert was born in Waterbury on August 20, 1966, son of the late Rosario and Maria (Pietropaolo) Cugliari. He graduated from Southington High School Class of 1984. He started his career as a restaurateur at Farmingbury Hills Inn from 1976 to 1991. He was the owner and proprietor of the Ground Round in Glastonbury for 10 years, Britannia Spoon Company of Wallingford for 4 years and Aziago’s Restaurant in Southington for the past 18 years. He also owned Cugliari Real Estate where he enjoyed flipping houses and properties. He loved spending time boating with his family and totally enjoyed his new Formula Boat. He was a member of the Meriden Elks Lodge # 35.
Besides his wife RoseMarie of 30 years he leaves; a son, Robert A. Cugliari of Southington; a daughter, Victoria R. Cugliari of Southington; a brother Michael Cugliari and his wife Maria of Waterbury; many nieces, nephews, and aunts as well as many longtime friends and customers. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by 2 brothers, Giuseppe “Joe” Cugliari and Pasquale “Pat” Cugliari.
